WHO IS JESUS?

EDIT: EVEN ONE VERSE IS FINE! I do not expect you to do everything here... I am looking to collect a series of verses and compile them.

Of course we know. However, there are those who don't.

Now, let's assume we do not read or speak the language of the person we are talking with, but we have a Bible in their language, and we know the Book names and verse numbers. How would YOU go about explaining EXACTLY who Christ is, with nothing left out? This could be a witnessing tool where language is a barrier... so let's talk about this.

Assumptions to make
  • The person has never heard of Jesus and has no concept of God
  • The person does not speak your language, you do not speak theirs.
  • You have a Bible in their language.

Use only Bible verses (and their contents). If you have a reasoning, you can explain or keep it to yourself... however you feel led of the Lord.

Example said:
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Be sure to include verses for why Jesus is the only way (John 14:6), along with eternal punishment for rejecting Him (Revelation 20:15, Isaiah 66:24), repentance (Isaiah 55:6-7), etc...

I'll have to think about this...

This is something I guess I haven't really thought about before. I'm going to have to do a little research before I can answer this one.

A brother told me that it's hard to respond to this thread, because I "ask a lot"... I hadn't realized that. Sorry!!! Even one verse is fine. You do not have to give everything, as I never expected anyone to do that... and I still don't!

I'm looking to compile a bunch of verses and use them overseas.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

This one came to mind right away.
