I've really been doing a lot of thinking about what I pay Blizz $15 a month for and what I enjoy doing in WoW. I like raiding. I have enjoyed raiding ever since I discovered online gaming years ago. I played in a top tier guild in Everquest (possibly and debatably the #1 guild in the game) called Legacy of Steel.
When I first started playing WoW, I was in a raiding guild. This was pre BC about a week after Stonemaul came on line. I was on another server the day WoW started then when Stonemaul came online some RL friends and I came here to do a fresh start. Part of that is the history of the guild Leet Force but that's a long story. I took a break from WoW for almost a year. my daughter had discovered Redeemed and joined with her character before that and then after the break, she came back into redeemed and I joined with her. We were doing a good amount of casual raiding. Enough to keep me happy and I really enjoy the people in Redeemed. Then the raiding really fell off and I was getting bored with the game and had another problem come up in game so I just took Healsalot to Roadkill several months ago. I have been very happy there raiding. I've also been playing Hylander a lot and am about to change to him for a main character I think. I really enjoy the hunter. I raid with Roadkill and try to raid with Redeemed on Hylander. Much of the time the nights do not over lap so it wouldn't be a problem... that is if I was getting into raids. It seemed like raiding was starting to pick up again and now it seems like it's falling off. In the past month or so since the new system was implemented i've made it into one raid. Several times the raid just didn't happen for lack of people or leader or whatever the case was and others there were just too many to fit everyone in.
I know it's hard to fit everyone in especially when we aren't doing 25 man raids. But that still doesn't change the fact that I'm paying my money to Blizzard to play WoW and I want to do what I like in the game. (which is raid) I've tried the non raiding thing, the casual raid thing, and I just get bored with them. It was nice for a while.
I am not going to take Hylander out of redeemed yet but I am going to look for a guild that raids on opposite nights of Roadkill to raid with him. I may have to leave and join another guild in order to be able to raid with them or I may get lucky and find one that will allow me to stay in Redeemed and still fully raid with them.
If you see me leave the guild please know that it's absolutely nothing that any of you did wrong or anything that I don't like about redeemed. It's just that It's my $15/month paying for WoW and I want to do what I enjoy in game.
Sorry this has been kind of long but I hope you all can see where I am coming from with this and can at least sympathize with how I feel.
God Bless!
