Sooo, as awesome as Rift is, my campus internet hates the game. But I can play WoW, so I'll be picking up the game later this week after class and hopping online. I gave the trial a shot about two weeks ago and I've enjoyed it. Will be rolling a Shaman as my main, going Restoration (hopefully for raid heals later), and a Warlock alt because they are too fun. Maybe a DK when I get around to it, also. :D

I need my MMO fix. @___@

From one shaman to a perspective shaman, you might want to reconsider. Our resto spec is a little underwhelming right now. They recently buffed our passive bonus from +10% healing to +25% just to make us competitive, if that tells you anything about the state of our healing. We have very few cooldowns and the ones we have are pretty weak compared to what other healers are bringing to the table. Nature's swiftness just isn't what it used to be with swiftmend procing an aoe heal and pally light of dawn. We get laughed at by the other healing classes.

All that said, if you still think shaman is the class for you, by all means, we could always use a few more. We are still very strong dps with a lot of raid utility, thanks to our totems and being one of only a handful of classes with the 30% haste buff.

I tried Priest, it was alright (only other real option I would go, but I would probably roll Enhancement for PVP), I hated Paladin, didn't bother with Druid since the guild has so many. And I'm fine being lower on the charts, not like I'll be doing Heroics anytime soon. Then again, 4.07 could be the Shammy patch with +45% passive healing, 7 new CD skills, and a free mount for sticking with the class... one can always dream. :p

I'll be picking up the box today after school. :D

i don't really agree i think the buff made is almost on par with the other healers. Its just playing right is the key. We have our unleash weapon and riptide and mana tide. I LOVE healing on my shaman and for hte most part can keep up with other healers.

So I'm level 22 already, aiming for 30~35 by Sunday. Draenei area was painfully boring, but given what I saw with the Cata quest-chains for other races, it seems like it will speed up. Enjoying the game a lot more than I thought I would, dungeons are pretty fun (when rogues don't try to tank, healers don't go AFK [so many clutch healings as Enhance Shaman, it's embarrassing], and tanks actually hold aggro!) and I've got a few blues. Still figuring out Profession I wanna go, and how to use Glyphs though...

I must become the best like no one ever was!

again i gotta disagree from my experience in arenas ele shamans are terrible.. Enh and resto are only viable specs in higher end teams because of eles lack of mobility its sad :(

Shammy...I think i used to have one of those.... :P

Keero let me know if you need help with anything ;) if you do in-game I'm sure you'll hear a healthy dose of my opinion on healers right now lol. Might change your mind on paladins ;)

Most of mine and Divinum's 2v2 terribad Arena losses are from some dps + ele shaman. I've got 3k resilience and I still melt like hot butter. Enh and resto are incredibly annoying (especially resto, but that's just because any 1 healing and 1 dps fight is annoying for a Holy priest and a Pally...) but at least with them I tend to survive longer than 10 seconds.

sadly that is true. We did fine in other match-ups but together it was only good for padding our records in the negative direction.

I don't think there is a worse team than pally and priest.

Mirakle and I were awful.

Protip: Holy priest + Ret Pally = team awesome. :p
Few things are more annoying than the number of 'save' spells from the combined duo.
Desperate prayer and Guardian Spirit are perfect 'oh snap' heals, lightwell + PoM for when I'm silenced, and Chastise makes a fantastic quick interrupt/stun, and that's just the priest abilities...

i haven't seen a single ele shaman past 1800+ in 2s honestly. The only other shamans i see are resto and maybe an occasional enh but thats about it.

So yuh. Now I've moved into Dungeon healing, finding it to be a cinch, even if I have to pull clutch heals for bad tanks. It's weird how many DKs show up in BC-only dungeons. @_@

Also, screenies of me hitting 60 in about 5 days time. Now time to get on with the real game.
