I guess I want to sum this up in this way:
Elements of killing in real life:
Usually done in hate
Take away someone's future
Take away someone that might be special to another therefore creating pain
Cause funeral costs and whatnot
Loss of productivity in society (by and large at least)
Elements of killing in a game:
Your team gains a point or man advantage.
See, killing in real life takes away from the person killed (they lose their future, you take them away from those who love them, etc.)and those around them (kids may depend on them, friends and co-workers would lose an elemental part of their life, etc.) When I kill someone in a video game, I take nothing of real value from them or anyone else. I guess to answer this question, one must ask why killing is bad. I don't see a single "why" for real life killing being bad transferring over to video games.
