Wow, some interesting reads there.

All raids will have a 10 man and a 25 man version. And there will be an approx. gear level difference between the two of about 1 tier. Awesome. I always thought the current progression system created to much of a "I'm better then you" mentality amongst the kids.

Some really good reads.

wondering if the length of time to get from 70-80 is equivalent to 0-70. Doesn't seem like it would be right to make it as easy as getting to 70 from 60.

oh and the air combat looks amazing.

ooOOOOooo

It's a shame that this will be hitting the streets about the same time as WAR, or I'd be sorely tempted to come back and check it out.

The DK looks niiice. I'm playing a very similar class in EQ2 (Shadowknight) and LOVE it. 'Course, I'm sure there won't be 800 level 55 DKs in the DK zone the minute the expansion goes live, or anything...

this is going to suck me away from Warhammer for sure. siege tanks! :)

Warhammer = full-on siege warfare, and not just at high level. Catapults, battering rams, keep attack and defense, working your way to the enemy capital and sacking it. It's gonna be DAoC RvR all over again, plus. I'm hoping <NDA> can show up eventually with more information.

ya but then i get stuck on another game..i mean atm all im doing is playing cod4 because i have nothing else to do cause i miss wow =(

WotLK actually looks pretty awesome with some very good changes. Regardless if its a 10/10 expansion, I won't be coming back, however. WAR is shaping up to be exactly what I have been looking for in a MMO and until then, EQ2 has my full attention.

I don't think they've announced a release date yet. From reading the previews ans listening to some of the interviews it sounds like they still have a fair bit of content that they haven't started implementing yet. My guess is that they're still quite a ways off from releasing.

Of course, there's a highly anticipated MMO being released in the next week or two, so Blizzard, for some odd reason, releases a ton of expansion info just prior. Odd... I'd expect another marketing blitz in early October, but maybe that's just me.

Nah, I had Amazon email me last week to tell me that they'd moved the estimated ship data of my pre-order up to the beginning of October. I honestly have no illicit information on release schedules. :D

I spoke to a guy at one of my local game stores about a potential release date for WotLK. The last he heard from his management is that Blizzard is planning to release one of their larger titles around the middle of November (prime time for the holiday shopping season). However, as I am sure most of you are aware Blizzard currently has two, maybe even three major titles under development: WotLK and Starcraft II. The question is which one of those titles will be released by the end of this year? In my opinion, it would not be a wise move to release two major titles within only a month of each other - like many of these estimated shipping dates are saying they will. Gamestop, for example is indicating that WotLK will ship out on 11/3/2008 and Starcraft II will ship on 12/3/2008.

I think it is very likely that we will see at least one of those two titles delayed until 2009. A easy choice for me to say is to just release WotLK this year and continue working on Starcraft II. Something to consider though, that I know Blizzard is looking into is the fact that only a very small percentage of subscribers have actually made it through most of the Burning Crusade content. Not to mention several million of their subscribers lack a level 70 character. This was one of the points that made Blizzard decide to implement easier leveling for those under level 70, so that they could enjoy the BC content before the next expansion.

There are several rumors floating around nowadays that we might be seeing Starcraft II before WothLK. I am sure we will find out more details in the coming months along with seeing what the developers have to say at BlizzCon in October.
