In Psalms in today's reading it says, "But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked." The Bible is basically re-iterating that a God fearing man partially influence God for the sake of his friends (by sparing them God's judgement).
But, who is Phinehas?
Edit: Nevermind, I looked it up. I had just never heard of him before.
Sorry for not posting the readings much anymore. My Internet connection has been reduced to 56k for the rest of the semester so it's really hard to post/go to the forums.
Today's passage in Hebrews really spoke to and encouraged me. There's something that's going on over here, and this passage spoke specifically about it.
Sorry for not posting any of the readings for the week of Thanksgiving. Lots of stuff going on at home and I either forgot to post or didn't have time to. ^^;;
