Your favorite Worship song.

Yeah, kinda freaky that we seem to have similar taste in worship songs. But even freakier: Kel and I read the same semi-obscure series of fantasy novels (MYTH by Robert Aspirin), were listening to Eldest on audiobook AT THE SAME TIME, and both like to knit and crochet. So go figure.

Sharing is Caring:

When I first got a serious interest in the life of Jesus Christ I turned to internet radio stations to get into the right mood (Yes I am a reborn Christian, with a 27 years past as a non-beliver).

The song that caught my ears was "The King of Love" and it was sung by Rita Springer. I got her CD and played it for the whole summer. Got some very rewarding memories from about a year ago, while listening to that CD. So there you have it.

Awesome! And welcome to the forums! I had 22 years behind me before I gave it all to Christ. But that was the old man and I now I'm working on putting on the new. :D Always makes my heart happy to hear people say things like that. Just reminds me how God is building His church!!

Third Day - Your Love, Oh Lord (Psalm 36)

Your love, oh Lord
Reaches to the heavens
Your faithfulness stretches to the sky
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains
Your justice flows like the ocean's tide

I will lift my voice
To worship You, my King
I will find my strength
In the shadow of your wings

Been trying to get school started this week so I haven't been on much. See if you know some of these clone.

Artist: Chris Tomlin
Song: Beautiful One

Wonderful so wonderful is your unfailing love
Your cross is spoken mercy over me
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart can fully know
How glorious, how beautiful you are

Beautiful one I love you
Beautiful one I adore
Beautiful one my soul must sing

Powerful so powerful your glory fills the skies
Your mighty works displayed for all to see
The beauty of your majesty awakes my heart to sing
How marvelous, how wonderful you are

You've opened my eyes to your wonders anew
Captured my heart with this love
˜Cause nothing on this earth is as beautiful as you

Blessed Be Your Name
Blessed be Your name
in the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

And blessed be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your name

PRE-CHORUS:
Every blessing You pour out I'll
turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

CHORUS:
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name when the sun's shining down on me
When the world's "all as it should be"
Blessed be Your name
And blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS

BRIDGE:
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

CHORUS

It was total awsome when we did God of Wonders followed by the hymn Holy, Holy, Holy sung acapela

Lord of all creation
Of the water, earth and sky
The Heavens are your Tabernacle
Glory To the Lord on high

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Early in the morning
I will celebrate the light
And when I stumble into darkness
I will call your name by night

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)

I have been racking my brain to think of my fave and I just love music so much I have no fave :) but I will post some I really like that some people may have never really heard.

Ah ha!

I figured it out. Michael Tait did a modern rock version of "How Great Thou Art" on the compilation CD Bridges: Classic Hymns, Modern Worship

My Savior, My God
Aaron Shust (I think he's from Atlanta!)

I am not skilled to understand
what God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take Him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me: this I read
and in my heart I find a need
of Him to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
and come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was, My God He is
My God He's always gonna be

Yes, living, dying, let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That He who lives to be my king
Once died to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
and come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was, My God He is
My God He's always gonna be

I know that one! I love singing it.

And yes, he lived in Atlanta. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, attended Toccoa Falls College in North Georgia, and a worship leader at Perimeter Church in Atlanta for five years.
