that works too...i just prefer a disk and using one of those sleeves that have sticky tape so you can just slap it on the side

take a baseline image of where you are...do incrementals on YOUR schedule, then you can comfortably disable it. it may be a 15-20 min hassle if things go horribly wrong somewhere, but it's worth it imo
