So here you are, calling yourselves christians, yet playing computer games where the sole intent is to KILL OR HURT other people. It does not matter that they are not real people, it's the intention that counts. Do you not know the 10 commadments, do you not understand the sins you are committing? It is clear to me that you will burn in the eternal fires of ####ation unless you give up this horrible "entertainment".

So that is what I urge you to do, because I do not wish that faith upon you, give it up, repent your sins, and God almighty will forgive you.

Umm.....the Bible say not to murder...you have to look at in context. The Hebrew word for kill in that particular point meant "murder".
A game is not a human. Know that my friend. I can take out Nazis, aliens, robots or whatever, and that is in no way murder...please note it is a game...not reality. Watching a movie does not mean I commit those actions because of what my eyes see....I did not go into a lobby full of guards and waste them and then the riot force they sent down because of The Matrix...
I seriously think YOU need to expend some effort into thought.
 
On TV you see someone else kill, in computer games you DO IT YOURSELF. There is a huge difference. But I can understand why you don't want to face the truth, since facing the truth would mean taking resonsibility for your actions and realizing what a sinner you are.

Maybe this guy is a genuine bible nazi. For one, the bible says not to go around preaching fire and brimstone, so by this guys own logic hed be going to hell too.
 
people have different convictions. some of us like war strategies. The Bible had wars, can we not play games strategizing war? (just cause etc)

fire and limestone? Its only throwing your lives away if its the only thing you do, which sadly, I've seen alot of people do. Theres nothing wrong with casual gaming.

Mmkay. I'm totally ####ed. My own screenname here, Ultima Avatar, is named after the hero of the renowned Ultima series. The Avatar, the Paragon of All Virtue. Definitely a bad name to emulate...maybe I should call myself "GOD", eh? It'd be a lot better than a game name after all...
Dude, Illuminatus, your logic is twisted, man. In a game I do not kill people...I beat the crap and maybe the shoot the heck out of pixels. Do you know what a pixel is? Pixels are graphical squares...really tiny. "Put them together and what have you got? Bibbity-bobbity-boo." Sorry. Got carried away. Anyways, a pixel placed with another pixel, makes, gasp, two pixels. Eventually, you can even form shapes with enough pixels. It's really cool. Then you can even animate these characters, and can even put these characters onto screens of more pixels...in the end, all you're playing with is a lot and lot of squares.
TV shows me it's okay to have sex...does that mean I should? TV also supports gambling at casinos as it shows so much of it...does that mean I should? TV shows lots of guns blazing....does that mean I should?
Games have stories. Movies have stories. Even shows have stories. It all depends on how you react to it. Keep this up long enough and you might even get a BAD reaction, Illuminatus.
All right, you've showed me the errors of my ways. Forgive me, Master God, I shall try harder to pair myself to thine commandments. I shall forsake everything and become a monk...which is the only way to avoid sin, after all, in isolation, in prayer, in self-flagellation, in a dark little cell. Or I could actually obey the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19, 20 and actually preach the Gospel to all people.
Listen buddy, the only thing you're providing for me is a terrible example of CHristianity, a cultist' view, more than anything else, and a thing of amusement. Seriously. I'm laughing over here. I thought you were joking. I still do. Even if you're not, I think you're a hoot.
