A slightly embarrassing fact about me

Bowser

Tribe of Judah StarCraft Series Chapter Leader
I've bought more than $3,299.54 worth of hiking and camping gear, 33 items, in the last 3 years.

I had no idea that I'd spent that much. Seriously. It was quite a shock.

Of course, a lot of the items are redundant, or I bought for friends who couldn't afford it. Or, there are upgrades. And, no, these aren't impulse buys, either (well, about 3 items are, but the rest were well researched before buying).

Some of the more expensive items are a GPS unit, 2 tents and a bivy, cold-weather clothes, backpack, and sleeping bag.

Part of the reason, I know, is because quality backpacking gear is grossly expensive. I even bought, probably, about half of those items at discount, and a few of them are used.

I just wanted to share.. I'm not sure why. But, I am wondering, what are you heavily invested in?

Congrats, you could've used that money to buy 54 copies of Starcraft 2 for TOJ players. Son, I am dissapoint.

I would probably say money in console gaming, and building two custom PCs the last 3 years. Probably in the 5k mark. ^_^;;

Nice one! Most of that stuff lasts for YEARS. It will be especially useful in the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse.

It would only be embarrassing if you never used that gear Bowser XD . I are jealous of your outdoorsyness :D.

He didn't list any guns and ammo though sounds like an impulse buy coming on ;) .

You should totally join us on our next hike!

edit: oh, and I'm being serious! We have some people coming from Arizona, Maryland, and California, and possibly even Georgia. We're going to Sequoia National Park in the Sierras; we'll be hiking for 26.2 miles over 3 days at an elevation of 7,200-9,500.

guns and ammo are over rated, just ask tek. All you really need is a katana or axe

Yo. With all you've spent and aquired, you just can't put a price on being able to fellowship with God in all His natural wonders! Now *that's* priceless!

Truth. Ammo's going to run out some time. It's going to come down to melee eventually.

Does hunting/fishing tags and gear over the years count lol for I have got real close if not well beyond. I have camped, hiked, hunted, fished, and loafed hehehe over a mile high to sea level and regret none other than maybe the fact I end up giving the stuff away. Don't feel bad for the moments were meant to shared wOOt!
