Freelancer

NSpire is correct. I finally figured out the yellow meant that person is talking. I originally thought it meant they were at some critical level, but it turned yellow on fully charged ships.

The manual is bad, but they
A) Want you to buy the strategy guide
B) Descriptions of commodities, planets, weapons, are built into the game.

It sure would be nice knowing what type of shield the enemy has.

Anyway, I've finished storyline Mission 5 and have logged over 11 hours (I read EVERY rumor, news item, and Trent's logs). Plus I read weapon descriptions and...well, all that reading takes time.

The game is getting extremely exciting. If you like the demo, I highly recommend getting the full version.

dam, i was wrong, ive check it over, your right, oh well.

Say, I've come up something unusual in the demo game, maybe u've already know this.

Its close to New York -> Magellan system, right in Hostile Territory.

Just wonder if their anything special on that Patrol 27, ive check it myself, but got ambushed by 7 Liberty Rogues, and died...

Also noticed a 'Radiation Hazard' (The nuke symbol), odd.

I played the whole demo for Freelancer the other day (took a day off of doing schoolwork

) and I must say, it's awesome! The only thing that annoys me is the sometimes very long spaces you have to fly to get somewhere...but I suppose that makes it a bit more "realistic" since you can explore, etc.

I'm almost persuaded to buy the full version.

Well, yeah....playing the full game and those long flights can get old after awhile. I sometimes wish there was a transporter type thing to just get me there instantaneously.

The full game is fantastic. Even better than the demo. The single player storyline is incredible. Very exciting missions. The side missions do tend to get a bit repetitive, there isn't much variation in the jobs, but it is quite fun nevertheless. Each system has its own unique look and feel. You have asteroids, ice rocks, all this stuff flying around while you are battling it out with the enemy. It's so cool when you are chasing someone down and a HUGE rock comes flying towards you and you HAVE to swerve away from it.

I would recommend finding it on sale. I got mine for $35 and it was well worth it. I don't know if I think it's worth $50, though. But then, I just can't see spending $50 for ANY game.

My feeling is, for those who like the demo, you will REALLY enjoy the full game.

A patch is in the works that will make the MP more stable, and kill many of the cheats floating around. Maybe if we ask real nice we can get more randon-missions.

Very cool. I heard about the MP patch too.

Boy! If they put out some new DIFFERENT random missions. That'd be great. They need things like escort missions, commodity trade missions, blow up battlecruiser missions... My favorite missions to fly tend to be ones with a station or weapons platform as well as having some backup. They are the closest to the SP game style.
