As i move toward going off to college i will probably not play gw much, i am prepping for several exams involving cisco routers and linux, as such i want to spend more time in these environments. Yesterday i had a interesting, how can i describe it? a tear in my sound layer. Thanks to a decent knowledge i was able to pinpoint the problem. Since then i have written a init script to fix the problem...thats the 5th so far.
I dont really want to play with guildies under emulation as it tends to go bezerk some times, level load times are high, and latency is fairly high. I believe this is due mostly to my poor system (p4 2ghz, 512mb, 128mb 5200). In march i will be getting my laptop for college, hopefully it will be tons faster.
I guess in essence i am giving up on gaming because my parents refuse to buy me a new desktop despite stated proof that the old one is inadequate. Gaming largely is a pain in windows, random lockups, long load times.
so either way windows or linux....its bad
