Hey everyone! It's CATACLYSM time, and time to put up some fresh new rules and regulations for the guild bank!
Bank Tabs (and how to use them)
The tabs, in order, are as follows:
GRAB BAG
This tab is the first you'll see when opening the guild bank. It's contents must meet two criteria. First, the item must not be able to be put into any other tab. Second, the item must not be gray. When in doubt as to where to place an item, just put it here and I'll sort it out.
PLANS AND GLYPH
The second tab in the guild bank, this tab will only contain profession plans/recipes or glyphs. Scrolls of enchanting do not belong here. (I feel obligated to announce that the lack of an 's' on the end of 'GLYPH' bugs me to no end. But the bank tab character limit is merciless. Maybe it could be 'PLANS 'N GLYPHS' ?)
LOW MATS
This tab is for any crafting materials up to and including WOTLK mats.
HIGH MATS
This tab is for any crafting materials unique to the Cataclysm expansion.
VETERAN
This tab will be reserved for anything a Veteran Raider would use in the latest raid (gems, food, flasks, etc). Second-best consumables do not belong in our veteran raids, and they do not belong in this tab. Only Veterans will have access to this bank tab to assist in their raid preparation. For more information on becoming a Veteran Raider, click these links to learn about our Veteran Status and our Raiding Policy. These links will be updated when we begin to raid in Cataclysm.
GUILD TREASURE
This tab is reserved for the best of the best. Epic level BOE items that do not get distributed to the raid will find their way here to be given out later. Other items may find a home here, based on officer's judgment. This tab also currently functions as a storage for material overflow, effectively hedging our bets against any guild member that might be hacked. (Seriously - get an authenticator already. They are stylish and an excellent conversation piece for any social endeavor that might be forced upon you.)
GENERAL GUILD BANK RULES
(applies to all bank tabs)
- PLEASE feel free to take whatever you can use! As the guild banker, I love to see items LEAVING the guild bank and being put to good use.
- Do not take items to sell. These items are for people to use. People selling items from the guild bank are subject to loss of guild bank access. (Using crafting materials to level your profession, then selling the items you made is ok.)
- Please exercise common sense when depositing into any bank tab. No one wants to open the guild bank and see [Braided Copper Ring] x 24. One or two will do.
- If you do not have the authority to withdrawal an item, present your case to myself or any guild officer, and we will make a decision on a case-by-case basis. That's what we are here for, and we are glad to help.
- Feel free to donate anything you wish to the guild bank. I would appreciate your help in sticking to the tab guidelines outlined above.
- Please do not put gray items in the guild bank. They will be vendored on sight.
- Feel free to donate any money to the guild bank at any time. We are saving up for any costs that Cataclysm might bring to us as a guild. Monetary donations are non-refundable and will in no way affect your standing with the guild.
- It is not our current policy to loan out money to guild members for personal use. I am unsure if this is an option we will offer in the future, but if we do, I will announce it. So please do not withdrawal money or request a loan without a guild officer's approval.
- As always, while I appreciate donations of both items and money, I am unable to track who donates what, and consequently am unable to guarantee refunds. If you accidentally put something of yours into the guild bank, and are unable to withdrawal it, present your case to myself or another officer and we will do what we can.
- In a similar way, donors do not accrue "goodwill" or any kind of credit balance with the guild bank. For instance, just because you estimate that you've donated 4000g worth of items to the guild bank over the past few years does not mean you are entitled to withdrawal 4000g from the guild bank today. Donations are just that - freely given by guild members without an expectation of any return.
If you have any questions about the guild bank, just ask!
