We have IRC. It doesn't get used much. It's too bad since IRC can be awesomely good times.
That said, I discovered today that Steam has built in group chat support. You can set these up for groups of friends that you invite others to join.
That part wasn't new to me. Cool feature, especially for easy on-the-spot voice chat with a group. However, the thing I found today that's cool is that every Steam group has its own group chat. If you click on the little triangle next to the Tribe of Judah group name in your friends list, you can join group chat.
So far as I can tell, it ends up working a lot like IRC... but with the option of voice chat. More importantly, it can be accessed while playing Steam games (or games otherwise launched from Steam).
Don't know if it's of particular interest to anyone, but it's pretty convenient. I was hanging out with Joshinator and Elader there earlier. Good times.
Just givin' the heads up in case anyone else was unaware of this little feature and wanted to use it.
