School reading, but I'm wrapping up Tim Keller's Center Church for today. Pretty good on the whole, with moments of total excellence. On the whole, though, most of what I've read can be summed up by the principle of "Do not so overemphasize one truth as to lose sight of another." Example: Don't get so strongly into the pursuit of holiness that you lose track of grace and end up in some kind of legalism (or its opposite: Don't get so strongly into the reality of grace that you lose out on the call to holiness and live in total worldliness).
