A couple of us talked about Tekken a little in threads here and there. I've been playing with the idea of picking it back up for quite a while (didn't love it when it first came out). Then Keero told me that he was picking it up, so I decided to do the same (on clearance at Target = no time like the present to get it).
I'm enjoying Tekken 6 more this time out than the last. Still not blown away, but I'm barely scratching the surface so far.
I do like that it seems to implement some of what Virtua Fighter has done. Namely, single player arcade mode pits you against virtual players who have win records and ranks rather than simple arcade AI. Wins result in points toward improved rank.
What can I say? It's leveling up, and I like leveling up. lol
Speaking of which, I've found a really, really helpful video series for getting into Tekken 6. The series is called "Level Up Your Game," and it's hosted on YouTube. Check it out if you get the game and want some guidance in how to play.
